Port of Spain, Trinidad - Trinidad and Tobago are under threat from Hurricane Victoria, a powerful Category 4 storm currently churning its way through the Caribbean. The storm, packing sustained winds of 140 mph, is expected to bring heavy rainfall, significant storm surges, and widespread power outages to the twin-island nation.
The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) has issued an urgent advisory, strongly urging all citizens to take immediate precautions. Residents are advised to stock up on essential supplies, including food, water, medication, and batteries. Securing homes by boarding up windows and reinforcing doors is also a priority.
"We are facing a serious threat," said a spokesperson for the ODPM during a press conference earlier today. "Hurricane Victoria is a powerful storm, and we urge everyone to take these warnings seriously. Prepare your homes, gather essential supplies, and stay informed."
